Commander Kimberly Bowser of Denver Police District 6 recently reported on great news for all of district 6!! As of mid-January, there are no large encampments in LoDo, downtown, or any part of police district 6!! Click on the link for a map of police district 6: shorturl.at/cAHIL.
All large encampments have been decommissioned and people that were living in them have been offered or provided housing!!
Commander Bowser reported that most campers accepted the housing offered. What remains now are one or two tent campers in areas of district 6. Fortunately for LoDo there appear to be no tents in our neighborhood!
With the decommissioning of these large encampment areas there is also now a robust plan to maintain all the prior areas as encampment free!!
