The Denver Architectural Foundation is excited to invite you to their first ever Panel Discussion! The 2013 Biennial of the Americas' four large "Draft Urbanism Installations" are a creative response to identified, site specific challenges identified in Denver's Downtown Area Plan. The installations represent a new way to inform the public about challenges that exist while, at the same time, offering non-traditional ways to think about opportunities for addressing these challenges. As the end of the Biennial's "Draft Urbanism Installations" exhibition approaches in early September, The Denver Architectural Foundation and the Biennial of the Americas are sponsoring a panel to discuss the exhibits and their origins, responses over the past months, and where we go from here. Come and hear from a distinguished panel of participants who have been extensively involved in the past and future evolution of Downtown for what promises to be a lively discussion. Participants include: Tami Door, President and CEO, Downtown Denver Partnership; Paul Andersen, one of the co-curators of the "Draft Urbanism Installations" exhibition of the 2013 Biennial of the Americas; Rocky Piro, the new Manager of the City of Denver's Department of Community Planning and Development; and Josh Comfort, a local architect and Principal of Josh Comfort Development Services. The panel presentations and discussion will be from 6:30 to 8 PM. There will be a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres from 6 to 6:30 PM. The panel is free but space is limited.
